The Role

The school is seeking a qualified Physics specialist with proven experience teaching the subject across all key stages, with a strong emphasis on A-Level. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about demonstrating practical applications and nurturing a genuine curiosity for the subject. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Delivering exceptional Physics lessons to students from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level.
• Developing and implementing a rigorous curriculum that encourages deep conceptual understanding and strong mathematical application skills.
• Leading exciting practical work in the laboratory and ensuring a high standard of health and safety.
• Guiding students through challenging theoretical concepts, examination preparation, and university applications (where applicable).
• Collaborating with the wider Science department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this vital role, you should have:

• A degree in Physics or a closely related scientific field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
• Proven experience teaching Physics at the secondary level, with a strong track record of success at A-Level.
• An excellent understanding of the UK curriculum and the ability to inspire a wide range of abilities.
• Superb communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.

Salary & Application

The salary for this position is competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale (Inner London pay scale), commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
