We are urgently seeking a dynamic and highly capable Economics Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school in Battersea, located within the desirable borough of Wandsworth. The Role
The school is looking for a qualified Economics Teacher with proven experience teaching the subject at both GCSE and A-Level. The successful candidate will be passionate about making complex economic theories relevant and engaging to students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering outstanding lessons in Economics, covering micro- and macroeconomic principles, to students up to A-Level.
- Inspiring students to think critically about current affairs and applying economic concepts to real-world issues.
- Developing and implementing a rigorous curriculum that challenges students and ensures excellent examination results.
- Guiding students through research, essay writing, and data analysis related to economics.
- Collaborating with the wider Business and Humanities departments to promote cross-curricular links.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this rewarding position, you should have:
- A degree in Economics or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
- Proven experience teaching Economics at the secondary school level, with a strong focus on A-Level content.
- A deep and up-to-date knowledge of the UK curriculum and current economic climate.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, fostering a positive and academic learning environment.
Salary & Application
The salary for this position is competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale (Inner London pay scale), commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
