Role Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to a Year 5 class in line with the National Curriculum.
- Support pupils’ academic progress while also developing their social, emotional, and personal skills.
- Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture where all pupils feel safe and valued.
- Assess, track, and monitor pupil achievement to ensure strong progress is made.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across KS2 to plan, share resources, and drive school improvement.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and carers to support pupil outcomes.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through CPD, team meetings, and enrichment activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, ideally with experience in Year 5.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire learners.
- A reflective, organised, and motivated approach to teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
