Drama Teacher - Croydon, South London 🎭

We're currently seeking a passionate and inspiring Drama Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Croydon. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and dynamic educator to lead a thriving drama department and contribute to the school's rich arts curriculum.

The Role

The school is looking for a qualified Drama Teacher with experience teaching across all key stages, from KS3 to A-Level. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves. You will be responsible for:

• Delivering high-quality, practical, and theoretical Drama lessons to students of all abilities.
• Developing and implementing a creative and challenging curriculum that includes devising, scripted work, and theatre history.
• Directing and producing school plays and performances, showcasing student talent to the wider community.
• Mentoring students and providing constructive feedback to help them develop their performance skills.
• Collaborating with other staff to promote the performing arts throughout the school.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this rewarding role, you should have:

• A degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
• Proven experience teaching Drama at the secondary school level, including A-Level.
• A strong understanding of different theatrical styles and practitioners.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for inspiring young people.

Salary & Application

The salary for this position will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale, depending on your experience and qualifications.
